Z-MED set to provide ‘ULTRA’ care
March 9, 2023On Monday, the 27th of February, Zahir Vallie’s Z-MED Ambulance Services received multiple calls and requests for assistance in Salt River, Cape Town. The call-out was for two adults that were electrocuted. Z-MED rushed to the scene from their headquarters in Lansdowne and was the first ambulance service to respond to the call and arrive at the scene. “We heard the urgency of the call and knew we had to dispatch a rapid car along with the ambulances to ensure that we get there in time,” one of the paramedics said. Although their arrival was timeous, both adults affected by the electrocution had already sustained life-threatening injuries. The Z-MED team declared the victims deceased at the scene of the incident. One of the bystanders said, “We called so many ambulances, but nobody came. We eventually realized that we did not call Z-MED and when we did, their response was so much faster as they arrived shortly after at the scene.” The team handed the case over to the local authorities for further investigation.
Z-MED is constantly praised for its timeous arrivals and swift responses to its call-outs. They are rising to the top of the first response teams in Cape Town, as the reputation of their cultivation and nurturing nature to their patients has reached far and wide. This reputation is opening up new doors for Z-MED as the demand for their assistance is becoming prevalent. The team thus has a busy week ahead, as they were requested for assistance at an awards ceremony at Shelley Point later this week, followed by a school camp at Sweet Valley Primary, where staff had requested additional support and assistance for the school learners.
